A technician was robbed by a group of men in ski masks on Tuesday evening while servicing an ATM in Lake in the Hills, according to a release posted to the department’s Facebook page.
Police responded at about 6 p.m. for an incident at a Bank of America branch in the 200 block of North Randall Road, according to the release.
Several subjects wearing all black and ski masks approached the ATM while it was being serviced by a technician and stole from the ATM, according to the report. The subjects fled in an unknown direction on Randall Road in a dark-colored sedan.
No one was injured, and police did not believe there was any additional or immediate ongoing threat, according to the release.
