Des Plaines police on Wednesday identified city resident Roberta S. Langan as the person stabbed to death last week in her apartment building.
Langan, 50, died early Friday after suffering multiple stab wounds, police said. She was discovered about 9:25 p.m. Thursday by another tenant in a first-floor hallway of the building on the 1400 block of Ashland Avenue, according to police.
Police said they have identified a person of interest and the slaying remains under investigation. The stabbing was an isolated event and the public isn’t in danger, police said.
